Bob Arum says Lomachenko is “BIGGER” match for Kambosos than Haney

Top-tier promoter Bob Arum feels his fighter, former Three-Division World Champion Vasily Lomachenko, is the “best” choice for unbeaten George Camposos to fight in April from WBC’s boldest 135-pound Devin Haney.

Eddie Hearn, promoter of Arum and Haney, competes with each other to try to get a Kambosos fight for their two fighters, and no one at this point is guessing which one will get into the fight.

The main selling point of Head Matchroom Boxing for Haney (27-0, 15 KOs) is that the winner will finally decide the undisputed champion once and for all.

Camposos is indeed the undisputed champion

This entire argument is obscured by the fact that WBC president Mauricio Suleiman has already called Camposos the undisputed champion.

Camposos beat Teofemo Lopez, the man who defeated the man [Lomachenko], gives him a hideout to be named the undisputed lightweight champion without having to face Haney.

The WBC may not have tried to underestimate the regular lightweight champ when they created the franchise title several years ago, but that’s the bottom line.

The title of the franchise is prestigious. The regular WBC belt is the smaller belt, making Haney the belt Paper Champion or Email ChampionWhichever you want to give it to.

Lomachenko is in good shape

“We’re talking to Lu [DiBella] and Peter [Kahn], And We are optimistic Arum told Fighthype about his negotiations for a fight between Lomachenko and Kambosos Jr. For April, because we have really good connections inside Australia.

“COVID is on the way, but I think it’s going to be okay, and ESPN is ready to rise to the occasion to get that fight done,” Arum said.

It will drop to Top Rank/ESPN offering Camposos a more comprehensive financial bid for them for two-time Olympic gold medalist Lomachenko (16-2, 11 KOs).

If Hearn brings in more money for Camposos, Haney will be the one to take on the unbeaten Australian next April in a stadium, right. Yes, Lomachenko vs.

Kambosos and his promoter Lou DiBella are expected to get the most prominent financial offer he receives, whether it be from Lomachenko or Haney. Ryan Garcia and Gervonta ‘Tank’ Davis chose not to enter the competition. These two are seen as the only fighters to play in the upcoming Battle of Campossos in April.

Arum says Hani has no name in Australia

“Truthfully, Nobody knows who Devin Haney is in AustraliaClarifying that Hearn’s fighter is not well known in Australia, Arum said.

“Really, he was not exposed to anything. Everyone who follows boxing around the world, including Australia, knows Lomachenko.

“So, Lumchenko’s match will be much bigger in Australia than Devin Haney would be.”

Kambosos will garner more attention and respect from the boxing world if he is brave enough to take on Lomachenko, as the Ukrainian fighter is seen as the number one man in the lightweight division.

It doesn’t matter that Lomachenko loses to Tiofimo Lopez in 2020. He’s still seen as the #1 fighter at 135, and he will be favored against Tiofimo if the New Yorker doesn’t leave the division after his recent loss to Camposos.

Hani’s problem is that he looked horrible in his last two fights, getting hurt against faded veterans Joseph Jojo Diaz Jr. and Jorge Linares. These two fights showed Haney won’t hold onto his WBC title for long, even with the exact match being made for him.
