Mauricio Lara vs Emilio Sanchez

Mauricio Lara (23-2-1 16 KOs) welcome back to the ring after his poor cut in rematch with Josh Warrington. The Mexican traveled to Yorkshire in September to face the Leeds man at Headingley Stadium in a rematch after he stunned the boxing world by stopping the former world ruler in the ninth round of their February showdown in London.

The match intensified before she accidentally hit her head in the second round which left Lara with a disgusting injury to his left eye and had to be thrown out of the competition.

The 23-year-old has recovered and will be looking to get back into the mix for the big matches and the featherweight world title move. The first man on his way to the top is Emilio Sanchez (19-1 12 KOs).

The 27-year-old California will be looking to produce his own upset in the biggest fight of his eight-year career so far, as Sanchez fought over ten rounds for the second time in his career. He entered the fray after his 12th KO win in May over experienced Christian Esquivel.

Angel Fierro is eager to win the party atop the lightweight division. WBO #4 will display his credentials in his second WBO NABO title defense against Juan Carlos Burgos.

Fierro (19-1-1 15 KOs) secured the vacant title by defeating Alberto Machado in March – climbing off the deck in the first and second rounds to oust the former world ruler in the sixth. The 23-year-old Mexican and San Diego-based Christian Belma fired away in four rounds in his first defense in Puerto Vallarta in November. Marc Castro (5-5 5 KOs) in his sixth pro fight. He hasn’t gone all the way yet. His opponent will be named over six rounds soon.

Anthony Herrera (1-0 1 KO) made a solid start to the pro game with a second-round KO win on the bottom card of Teofimo Lopez vs. For the second time in San Diego against an opponent to be named.

Newcomer Skye Nicholson completes the card. The Australian will make her long-awaited debut at featherweight in California. The 26-year-old won the Commonwealth Games gold in her home matches in 2016 and represented Australia at the 2020 Olympics in Tokyo. She is now looking to translate her amateur success into the paid ranks.
